The money of Water

In 2007, Steve Hoffmann hosted a tri-weekly show on the economy of water on water.ca. During the course of these shows, Mr. Hoffmann reviewed the water market and its major companies. The shows look at specific water industry sectors, highlighting the challenges and opportunities that exist within each market. New contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and IPOs are also discussed.
Hoffmann's insightful overview of the water market is presented here and remains a valuable reference tool today .

Stephen J. Hoffmann is the president of WaterTech Capital, a pioneer in the advancement of the economic value of water. Mr. Hoffmann, a resource economist and limnologist by training, is recognized for his expertise in the water industry. He was one of the earliest financiers to recognize the potential of water as an investment theme.

He has substantial consulting and operations experience in the areas of water and wastewater treatment, technology commercialization, strategic marketing, water rate design, regulatory compliance and water policy.

Mr. Hoffmann is also a principal architect of the Palisades Water Index (ZWI), a modified equal-dollar weighted index comprised of U.S. exchange-traded companies engaged in the global water industry.
